IEEE Power & Energy Society and AES Corporate Engagement Partnership

IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity, today announced the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) and AES entered into a Corporate Engagement Partnership (CEP) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate the involvement of AES associates and corporate leaders in the IEEE PES activities to support PES membership and programs.

PES Announces New Editor in Chief for the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems

The Publication Board of Power & Energy Society decided unanimously, and the decision has been ratified by the PES president, to appoint Emeritus Prof Ian Hiskens, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, USA (currently retired and living in Australia) as new Editor-in-Chief of Transactions on Power Systems.

Climate Change Survey Results

Last fall, we at PES commissioned a nationwide survey to gauge the public’s perception of climate change, and specifically the role of engineers in driving solutions to combat climate change.
