2023 Award Recipient: Janos Gianone

Janos Gianone (born in 1999, Hungary) is a graduate student in energy engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His scientific work focuses on thermal power technologies, particularly geothermal power plants. In addition to his studies, he also tutors and conducts research at the Department of Energy Engineering. He has presented his papers at various national and international conferences.

Since 2019, Janos has been a member of the local IEEE Jt. IAS/PES Student Branch Chapter, and he has served as a board member for three terms. He has organized numerous lectures, site visits, technical days, and social events. Janos is also actively involved in leading youth communities and participating in the activities of several voluntary organizations.
