As incoming IEEE PES President (effective January 1, 2024), I am excited to build off the inclusive and transparent process by incorporating an open call for nominations for the President’s appointed positions on the IEEE PES Governing Board.
Our objective is to increase diversity amongst IEEE PES Governing Board members, find candidates with the necessary skill sets and characters to execute the society’s strategic plan, grow our volunteer base, and identify future leaders.
We encourage you to submit your name, or the names of those you believe are qualified to be a volunteer leader of IEEE PES.

Timeline of Activities
- Call for nominations distributed
- 1 August Call for nominations Deadline
- August/September – Appointed positions reviewed in accordance with the PES bylaws
- October/November – The 2024 PES Governing Board is approved
- 1 January 2024 – Appointed individuals begin serving their term
