The Future of Energy, Quantified: 2026 Global Member Survey Results
Home / Climate Change / The Future of Energy, Quantified: 2026 Global Member Survey Results
The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) surveyed 1,200+ members globally to gain insights into how electrical engineers around the world view vitally important energy topics.
As you may know, IEEE PES commissioned a survey of 1,200+ members worldwide as part of its larger Vision 2050 Research Project, a global effort to better understand the views and opinions of energy experts, IEEE PES members and the public.
Our Vision 2050 Research Project is a historic effort by IEEE PES to better understand the issues, forces, and dynamics that will shape our global energy future. While full results of this broad research project will be released later this year, we are excited to preview some early survey results that reveal how our fellow PES members view two very important issues – the role of nuclear energy and the impact of AI/data centers – and their role in our global energy future.
Stay tuned for the full results of the Vision 2050 project, which will be released later this year.
