The Publication Board of Power & Energy Society decided unanimously, and the decision has been ratified by the PES president, to appoint Emeritus Prof Ian Hiskens, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, USA (currently retired and living in Australia) as new Editor-in-Chief of Transactions on Power Systems from 1^st July 2024 for an initial period of three years. Professor Hiskens will succeed Professor Jovica V. Milanović who held this position since 1 January 2022. We are confident that prof Hiskens will lead the journal from strength to strength over the years to come and wish him every success in this role.
