Now Accepting Submissions for Appointed Positions for the 2026 IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Governing Board

Dear Global PES Community:

IEEE PES is the leading organization for power and energy professionals in the world. And it’s because of our members. We have made significant progress in bringing forth new ideas to leadership. We need to build upon this success and welcome more ideas, energy, skill sets and talent within the leadership of our organization, so we can continue to execute PES’s strategic plan and mission.

We are looking for individuals to serve on the 2026 PES Governing Board. We encourage you to submit your name, or the names of those you believe are qualified to be a volunteer leader of IEEE PES, for the appointed positions.

2026 Vice Presidents (one-year term) – must be a PES member and have IEEE Fellow or Senior Member Grade

  • Vice President – Chapters & Membership
  • Vice President – Conferences & Meetings
  • Vice President – Education
  • Vice President – New Initiatives & Outreach
  • Vice President – Publications
  • Vice President – Strategic Communications & Partnerships

2026 Regional Representatives (two-year term) – must be a PES member and have IEEE Fellow or Senior Member Grade

  • Region 9 Representative – Latin and South America

2026 Members-at-Large (one-year term) – must be a PES member and be of Graduate Student Member, Member, Senior Member or Fellow Grade.  Up to 4 people will be appointed with a focus on the following areas.

  • Digital Strategy and Member Experience
  • Emerging Technologies
  • Global Engagement in Standards & Technologies
  • Tomorrow’s Leaders

Timeline of Activities (2026 Appointments)

  • Call for nominations distributed
  • 1 September – Call for nominations Deadline
  • September/October – Appointed positions reviewed in accordance with the PES bylaws
  • October/November – 2026 PES Governing Board is approved
  • 1 January 2026 – Appointed individuals begin serving their term
