Webinar Submission Process

Thank you for your interest in serving as an IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) webinar presenter. IEEE PES provides high-quality power and energy curriculum education, and we are looking forward to adding your expertise to the content available to our members.

Below is an overview of what you can expect from the IEEE PES webinar process, including information to schedule your webinar. The full process, including review and scheduling, requires approximately 3 weeks. Thank you.

Step 1: Submit Your Application & Draft Presentation

If you have not already, submit a completed application and draft presentation following the steps below.

  • Application – Complete this form to fully ensure proper routing of your application.
  • IEEE Copyright & Consent Form – Complete, sign, and return the consent form. [DOC 1.2MB]
  • Draft presentation – The presentation must be on the IEEE PES template. [ZIP 107MB]
  • Post-Webinar Assessment Questions (if applicable) – Please provide five multiple-choice or true/false questions with an answer key. This is required for webinars that will be eligible for CEUs/ PDHs.

Step 2: IEEE PES Education Committee Review

Depending on the subject matter of your presentation, this review may take 1 – 2 weeks and may include the following.

  • Content review by the sponsoring Technical Committee
  • Review by the Selection & Quality Control Committee to confirm the appropriateness of content and instructional design quality

Once the required reviews are complete, your presentation will be returned to you with any comments captured during the review process.

Step 3: Schedule and Announce Webinar

Once your presentation has been reviewed, the IEEE PES Education Administrator will contact you to confirm a date for your webinar and discuss the webinar delivery process.

  • IEEE PES marketing will then add the webinar to the PES website and promote in appropriate PES emails and on social media.
  • It’s recommended that the webinar be announced at least six weeks before the scheduled date for optimal marketing engagement and attendance.
  • You are strongly encouraged to promote your webinar within your professional network as well.

Step 4: Submit Your Final Presentation

You should submit a final copy of your presentation a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your scheduled webinar.

Step 5: Conduct Webinar

You’ll have the opportunity to review the process for delivering the webinar before the scheduled date, including a practice session with the IEEE PES Education administrator.

Step 6: Post Recording & Presentation

After you present, a recording of the webinar and your final presentation will be posted to the IEEE PES Resource Center upon successful submission.
